Dr. Herrero was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of Miami and her Master’s of Biomedical Science from Barry University. She was a fourth grade co-teacher for one year and then went on to study dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. At Tufts, Krysten served as the Vice president of the Hispanic Dental Association and was a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She also received the Honus Civicus award upon graduation for her dedication to community service.
Dr. Herrero is passionate about helping others and promoting proper oral hygiene. She has served as a volunteer on a medical mission trip which takes place every summer to Mindo, Ecuador since 2011 through an organization called Mindo Futures. She uses the skills she has gained from these trips and does her best to treat all of her patients with respect and compassion.
As a self-proclaimed “foodie,” Dr. Herrero enjoys trying new restaurants with her husband, Brandon Wong, and friends. She and her husband spend most of their free time with family, friends and their dog, Bard.
