For 50 years and counting, Virginia Family Dentistry proudly provides safe, quality dental care to the greater Richmond area. With 17 locations and over 70 general dentists and dental specialists, we can treat a variety of patient needs at all our locations. Founded in 1974 by Dr. Baxter Perkinson, Virginia Family Dentistry has grown into a practice of over 475 dental professionals.
We still strive to maintain that small practice environment and live and work by our core values: treating everyone with respect and appreciation; communicating clearly, openly, and honestly; being positive, dependable and efficient; taking the time to train everyone; and, leading by example. Positions we commonly hire for include:
Clinical Positions:
- Dental Assistants – Dental Assistants assist dentists during procedures, sterilize equipment, prepare treatment rooms, and prepare patients for treatment.
- Registered Dental Hygienists – Registered Dental Hygienists are certified to conduct cleanings, take x-rays, and aid in patient education on oral health.
Administrative Positions:
- Greeters – Greeters welcome patients, assist with check-in, answer phonecalls, and create a friendly first impression.
- Schedulers – Schedulers manage patient appointments, coordinate provider availability, and ensure efficient scheduling.
- Insurance Coordinators – Insurance Coordinators verify insurance benefits, assist in processing claims, and assist patients with coverage questions.
- Accounts Receivable Associates – Accounts Receivable Associates handle patient billing, payments, and account inquiries to ensure financial accuracy.
- Office Managers – Office Managers oversee daily office operations, support staff, and ensure a smooth patient experience.
