To My Valued Patients,
After 31 wonderful years with Virginia Family Dentistry, it is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement. Due to a recent escalation of arthritis in my hands, I have made the difficult decision to step away from clinical dentistry effective July 18, 2025. While this chapter is coming to a close, I am immensely grateful for the privilege of caring for multiple generations of patients and for the many relationships I have built along the way.
I take great comfort in knowing that my patients will remain in highly competent hands. Dr. Anthony Schaapman, Dr. Christel Will, and the entire New Kent team will continue to provide the highest-quality dental care. Additionally, Dr. Eugena Waggoner will be joining from Virginia Family Dentistry’s Tri-Cities location, ensuring a seamless transition and continued excellence in meeting all of your dental needs.
I want to express my deepest appreciation to my colleagues, staff, and especially my patients, for their trust and support over my career. Being a part of this practice and serving this community has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.
