What’s Happening at VFD? 2016 Recap

We at Virginia Family Dentistry wish to keep our patients updated and informed. Our specialties have grown with the practice in an effort to provide comprehensive dental care to you and your family. Below we would like to highlight new additions and patient benefits to Virginia Family Dentistry.

  1. Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Jeff Laughlin joined the practice in January 2016 as Virginia Family Dentistry’s first Pediatric Dentist. Dr. Laughlin treats infants (as early as age 1), toddlers, adolescents, teens, and children with special healthcare needs. He and his team travel between 4 locations, covering both North and South of the river. (more information)
  2. Patterson-Parham Location
At the end of February, we opened our 12th location at the corner of Patterson Ave and Parham Rd in the Beverly Hills shopping center. General dentists Dr. Tyler Perkinson and Dr. Jamie Y. Denoncourt now call the Patterson location home.
  3. Ironbridge Renovation

After 25 years, our Ironbridge location was updated and added a new wing! Pediatrics and orthodontics now occupy the new left wing of the building, and general dentistry is in the renovated right wing.
  4. Second Short Pump Location
    Virginia Family Dentistry Short Pump
Construction has begun for a new location in Short Pump, with a planned opening in the late spring of 2017. General dentists and dental specialists will move into the new building, and the current West End-Short Pump location will be renovated to house an Orthodontic and Pediatric Specialty Center.
  5. Impression-less Digital Scanning
Virginia Family Dentistry has introduced digital teeth scanning to several locations. These scanners replace traditional impressions, creating a digital model of your teeth which can be sent directly to our lab. Crowns can now be made with less mess and discomfort.
  6. In House Lab
The in-house lab located in our Midlothian/288 location creates faster turnaround times for procedures and a higher level of quality control. Our lab works directly with our dentists every day.
  7. Cone Beam CT Scanners
We’ve added an additional 3-D imaging Cone Beam Scanner to the practice, now CT appointments can be made both North and South of the river.

More additions and improvements will be coming to the practice in future months. To stay in the loop with our latest news, be sure to like us on facebook.
