Dr. Allison Purcell is the Orthodontist at the Ironbridge location. Dr. Purcell is a top 1% Invisalign provider. Providers with this designation have treated at least 800 Invisalign cases total and continue to perform a minimum of 200 Invisalign cases per year.

Meet Dr. Allison Purcell
Dr. Allison Smith Purcell was born and raised in Virginia Beach. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from James Madison University in 1995. Upon graduation, she moved to Richmond to earn her dental degree from the Medical College of Virginia where she was a member of the Dean’s List for all four years of her dental education. As an honor graduate, Dr. Purcell was elected to the Omicion Kappa Upsilon Honor Society in 1999. She completed her specialty residency program in orthodontics at the Medical College of Virginia and joined W. Baxter Perkinson and Associates in 2001. Dr. Purcell currently serves on the MCV Orthodontic Education Foundation Board and participates in the orthodontic resident selection process for the MCV orthodontic department. She is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Southern Association of Orthodontics, the Virginia Association of Orthodontics, the Richmond Orthodontic Study Club, and the American Dental Association.
Outside the office, Dr. Purcell and her husband, Barry, enjoy going to the beach, playing golf and tennis, and spending time with their son Jack. She also devotes time to volunteering in the community and serves on the International Hospital for Children Richmond Chapter’s junior board and is a member of Smiles Change Lives.
