The letter below came to us through the Virginia Dental Association. We work with the VDA throughout the year to complete many Donated Dental cases for individuals in need. Stories like Marilyn’s are why we love what we do.
“My name is Marilyn Boone. When I was 6 months old, I had polio. All of the medicine messed my teeth up so badly that they were rotten,
and I had the worst smell in my mouth. I used to hide my mouth when I talked. I taught myself to not open my mouth to wide because of my rotten teeth. I saw Donated Dental on Facebook so I called. I talked to a wonderful person name Barbara. She felt my pain. I’m a pretty woman until I open my mouth. She helped me got my mouth together. My doctor, Dr. Lopez, was wonderful. She is so gentle with me. I had cosmetic surgery. She made me very comfortable. Her assistant Joan was wonderful also. I want to thank the Virginia Dental Association and the Doctor, very much.”
