Dr. Ethan Puryear was born and raised in Wadesboro, NC, and holds degrees in history and biology from NC State University and UNC Greensboro. Before dental school, he worked with youth programs at the YMCA of the Triangle and coastal camps in North Carolina, where he discovered his passion for working with children. Dr. Ethan earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and completed his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at VCU, where he was active in programs like Give a Kid a Smile and the M.O.M. Project. A board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, he is also a member of the ADA, VDA, and AAPD. Dr. Ethan enjoys making dental visits fun and educational, helping children build lifelong oral health habits. Outside the office, he loves hiking, biking, cooking, and spending time with his wife E.A. and their four daughters.
