Dr. Nguyen was born and raised in Dallas, TX. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Creighton University. After graduating, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy and became a Naval Flight Officer. He has deployed all over the world in support of military operations and has over 2,000 hours of flight time in various aircraft. After leaving active duty, he began his dental training at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry.
While at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, Dr. Nguyen was chosen as a Senior Teaching Assistant, teaching first year dental students the skills necessary to become competent dentists. He also participated in the Oral Pathology Senior Select and worked with a small group of senior students diagnosing and treating patients with advanced oral diseases.
Dr. Nguyen enjoys comprehensive dentistry and educating patients with the knowledge needed to maintain their beautiful smiles. He is active in the American Dental Association and the Virginia Dental Association.
Dr. Nguyen lives with his wife and four children in Henrico County. In his free time, he enjoys running road races and growing fruits and vegetables in his backyard garden with his family. He also continues to serve as a Naval Reservist, flying an unmanned aircraft.
