Neil Turnage was born in Mississippi and lived in Texas and Japan before moving to Richmond as a teenager. He spent eight years as the Athletic Director and Soccer Coach at the Steward School before attending VCU/MCV. At graduation from dental school in 1997 Neil received numerous honors including awards in the areas of Implant Dentistry, Oral Surgery, and General Dentistry. In addition to practicing dentistry, he is an Adjunct Faculty Member at the VCU/MCV School of Dentistry. According to Neil, “Dental school was a wonderful experience for me. I have as much passion for dentistry today as I did the day I graduated and enjoy passing that passion along to my students.”
Also, Neil serves on the MCV Alumni Association Board of Directors and the Steward School Board of Trustees. He enjoys playing soccer and basketball, biking with his family, and endlessly renovating his house.
“Keeping up with the latest innovations in dentistry is very important for top quality patient care. Listening carefully to the concerns of my patients enables me to provide that extra TLC I would want for my family. Given the wonderful people I work with everyday, both patients and coworkers, and the challenges of practicing general dentistry, I would not want to be doing anything else.”
