Dr. Tian moved to Augusta, GA in 2018 where he completed his second two-year endodontic residency training. He served in the Dental College of Georgia for three and half years as an assistant professor and pre-doctoral director in endodontics. He supervised both dental students and residents in endodontic clinic. In his academic career, Dr. Tian published nearly fifty articles in peer-reviewed journals and have been cited more than 1000 times. He is a board-certified endodontist by the American Board of Endodontics and well equipped with all the evidences behind clinical decisions.

Dr. Tian joined Virginia Family Dentistry in 2023. He also volunteers in the dental school of VCU as adjunct faculty. He was voted as the 2025 top dentist in endodontics by peer dentists.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Tian loves spending time with his family. He has two kids, including his son and a younger daughter. His wife is a dedicated secondary math teacher. He enjoys traveling, hiking and loves reading about history.
