Dr. Flanagan completed the Misch Surgical program, where he received his completion certificate from the Misch International Implant Institute. The requirements reviewed the major diagnostic and surgical steps involved to restore each patient to proper function and aesthetics.  Certification also required him to take an extensive written examination covering the diagnostic and surgical aspects of modern implant dentistry.

The Misch International Implant Institute was developed in 1984 by Dr. Carl E. Misch to help set and evaluate the standard of care of implant dentistry using a hands-on training approach.  The institute’s unique approach to providing the most progressive and documented information and extensive hands-on experience has enabled its graduates to gain experiences they will use throughout their careers.  The Misch International Implant Institute has trained over 2,500 doctors in a hands-on, yearly forum of education in surgical and prosthetic dentistry.

Dr. Flanagan enjoys all aspects of dentistry but particularly focuses on restoring patients’ smiles through crowns, bridges, and implants. Dr. Flanagan enjoys complex surgery and offers enteral and intravenous sedation. With a focus on long-term doctor-to-patient relationships, Dr. Flanagan helps patients achieve their best possible oral health while also helping patients achieve a smile that fosters confidence and a positive self-image. In his spare time, Dr. Flanagan enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, his son, River, and his daughter, Lanier. He enjoys hiking, running, golfing, weight training, and going to sporting events. He also travels and spends time with his close friends and family as much as possible.
